Sewing Suite: Re-Sewing

Re-Sewing

Seems like Fridays nights are my night for some quiet personal time in my Sewing Suite.  I had made two bags some time ago but they weren’t complete…something was missing.

I used the BasicGray Rosey Wedge Bag. I figured I would use it as a cosmetic bag but I kept using it for my fiber projects.  What drove me crazy about it was it didn’t have a handle.  It had great depth but without the handle it wasn’t user friendly for me….so I fixed that!

I made a teenie little purse of sorts.  I used Pink cotton webbing that I ordered from Etsy seller Bagofladyofc for the handles and 4 D Rings.  I like it much better.  On to bag two.

Note: It easier and neater to add BEFORE you finish your project.

I loved Star Trek Next Generation and picked up some Star Trek fabric from Joanns.  I wanted a longer wedge bag and this was a good fabric due to the graphic. I needed to finishing the seams  and of course add a handle.

I used seam binding to finish the edges and the same Cotton Webbing for the handle.  I lined the handle with the coordinating fabric and attached with a D ring and a Key Fob purchased here.
